ABOUT ME
I am originally from Hunza, North Pakistan but currently based in Dublin for work. Being from the mountains, I have always felt close to the Divine power and decided to pursue science to understand and explore His beautiful creation and to serve humanity.
After completing a secondary school certificate (SSC) in sciences, and a higher secondary school certificate (HSSC) in pre-medical, I opted for BS in Bioinformatics (16 years) at International Islamic University (IIU), Islamabad. To understand the molecular aspect of different diseases in Pakistan, I enrolled for MS in Biosciences (18 years) at COMSATS Institute of Information Technology (CIIT), Islamabad, and worked on allergic rhinitis.
In 2014, I was awarded the Fulbright Scholarship and moved to Fayetteville Arkansas for my doctoral studies. I completed my PhD in cell and molecular biology from the University of Arkansas in the Fall of 2019 and moved back to Pakistan. During the COVID-19 lockdown, I was offered a position at UCD Dublin and decided to move to Ireland for work.
